Ingredients

• ◆3/4 oz vodka
• ◆3/4 oz gin
• ◆3/4 oz rum (white)
• ◆3 oz beer (stout)

Method

1. 11. Fill a shaker with ice and add 25 ml each of vodka, gin, and white rum.
2. 22. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds — you want dilution and chill, not aeration.
3. 33. Strain the spirit blend into a rocks glass over a single large ice cube.
4. 44. Gently pour 90 ml of stout over the back of a bar spoon held just above the glass surface to float it.
5. 55. Let the stout slowly cascade through the spirits for 20 seconds before serving.
6. 66. Serve without stirring — the drinker discovers new layers as the layers blend on their own.
